Sebastian Vettel took yet another pole position for the Singapore Grand Prix, despite sitting out the final few minutes of qualifying. The defending world champion chose to only complete only flying lap in Q3, but no-one could beat his time, though Nico Rosberg did come within a tenth of a second in his Mercedes. Romain Grosjean took a surprise third place, with Lewis Hamilton in fifth and Fernando Alonso behind his team-mate in seventh.

We are now ten races into the Formula 1 season and there is now a four-week gap until the next race as the teams take their summer break, so this is a good time to look back at the season so far. I have split this into two articles – the first will look at the races from Australia to Spain, and the second will look at the races from Monaco to Hungary.
